This 3D paper star is perfect for making with kids. You just need a piece of square paper and a pair of scissors. My girls were very interested in making them. Although Ana(3yo) wanted to do it by herself and was not very successful, Gabby (5yo) did pretty well after the first few tries. Fortunately, I have prepared plenty of paper at hand.:-)
I used a piece of 6”x6″ inch paper to make a star that measures about 5 inches across. But any kind of square paper will work with this method. After folding the paper in half (0:06 in the video), I made a mark at 1/3 point at the top of the left edge to guide the next fold.

And don’t forget to try another craft of this color palette: patriotic bunting.
Happy crafting!
