Vegan hot cocoa

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup (100g) coconut sugar
  • 4 ounces (113g) unsweetened chocolate (contain 100% cacao)
  • 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (or seeds from half of a vanilla bean)
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch (use to thicken the texture, optional)

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop the unsweetened chocolate. Then put all the ingredients in a food processor and process until everything turns into fine powder.
  2. Warm up 1 cup of almond milk (or soy milk) and add 3 tbsp of hot cocoa mix, stir for about 3 minutes until everything is well blended and slightly thickened. Enjoy when hot.
